Ground Zero Pounds Em' In the Desert
In the first round of qualifying Chill Scardino in the Chill Factor lead the way with a 7.553
in the Team Orange Dodge. Other teams either ran too quick or struggled to get down
the track. The second qualifying session had a few cars sit out so they could wait for
the good night air. However the Freeway Building Supply, AMP Motorsports Avenger
driven by Paul Peterson didn't wait as they came out and ran an awesome 7.511 to
take the number one spot from the Chill Factor.

The third and final session was run under the lights and all the cars made
improvements. The
Perma-Cool Burnout Challenge was held during the third round with
Jack Beckman in Dennis Murphy's Ground Zero Omni taking the honors. One of the
best runs in the third session was when Team Outcast with Pete Ortiz Jr. Driving and
The California Rattler with Becky Sylvester driving paired up and ran side by side
7.58's. The run with the worst luck in the session is when The Shakey Situation
Camaro hurt the motor on the burn out which would side line for the rest of the night
after running back to back 7.42 and 7.45  Everybody else either ran too quick or not
quick enough.

So after 3 rounds of qualifying AMP Motorsports was the Number 1 qualifier and Chill
Scardino picked up the
Bars Leaks Revolving Qualifier Money. The field qualified as

in getting the car back on the track.
